Winth tragedy
My deepest sympsthy to the Winth family sorry for your loss.I am a proud product of Mackenzie Hospital back in the day but God alone knows what happens there now.Hope this is not swept under the mat and somebody take some action like Dr.Gomes did in 1983 when nurses were sacked for a medication error.It is called accountability.If this had happen in England or America both doctors and nurses involved would have paid the ultimate price, if proven to be negligent.Please act to protect people whose lives depend on us and God.

who will be the voices of Mothers dying To Childs Birth?
SO SAD, SO SAD, THE SYSTEM IN GUYANA DONT HAVE A HEART FOR THE POOR..... THE SYSTEM IN GUYANA IS OUT FOR PEOPLE WITH MONEY. THE SYSTEM IN GUYANA ONLY SEES PEOPLE THAT KNOW SOME ONE, THAT KNOW SOME ONE IN HIGHER POWER.
IT SO SAD TO SEE MOTHERS DYING IN CHILD BIRTH AT THIS DAY IN AGE.
WOW, HOW? WHY?

This should not have happen
I am really sadden to have heard about the death of Mrs Winth. That new hospital should NOT have been open without a working operating room. It is vital to have a functioning operating room as in an emergency, every seconds counts!!!!!!. And those nurses there needs RETRAINING, because they obviously dont have a clue as to what assessment means. If they were doing the assessment they should they would have picked up that the patient was in some form of distress and acted on it to save that young woman's life. It is rediculous and embarassing as i was trained there.

I don't know how many of us remember this same situation happen to Beverly Lewis a few years ago,can somebody please tell me what's wrong ?where are the doctors when patients need STAT attention? the sad thing about this situation is 1.it's going to happen again,2.there is no one to sue foe malpractice in Guyana,3.here another family suffering and distroyed by some elses neglect.
The fuuny thing about this is,the justice system in Guyana is a joke and the medical system is a bigger joke,in a modern time like this where computers and cell phone brought mankind so close,Guyana is still behind ,Doctors still use beepers today and yet still no one can reach a Doctor in Guyana to save a patient life.
Gossip and slander needs to stop @ thew Linden hospital complex and these midwife,nurses and staff needs to pay close attention to patients and not patients and the public business and stop this foolishness in Guyana.
