Oh. Carl 'Trogie' Thomas everything was so pure. The little we had though not always quite enough left us with a smile of contentment. We were content and happy and lovingly shared with others. What joy and pleasure to smell that black cake baking and eeeemmmm,, the garlic pork on Christma morning. Some body's box oven catching afire and all the bread well "BUN UP" But when you got a bit of that caterpillar yellow paint fron who ever was the lucky person to get some, the only place you could put it was out of sight in the bedroom. Tell me now do you remember that feeling of gentle holiness that circulated around the entire atmosphere. Then came the masqueraders, lady sally, the bull, the dancers each attempting to out dance the other, and folks gave what they could. I myself did my bit my friends and I would dress in our parents old clothing, make masks from our exercise books. Gather our musical instruments, old tin cans, bottles, old cups, old basins bricks in cans and bottles the corks from the sweet drink bottles made into noisy chains strung on blasting wire hanging around our necks, wrisks and anckles we were ready and it was every man for himself we danced our little bodies out and at the end of a lenghty preformance we would tally our take. 27cents, good but when you made 60 or 80 cents, it was a great, great day and we were oh so proud. but trouble would always come if the take was uneven because no one was supposed to get more than the other. Then one year smart man Gary decided that his ban got to have a leader who would get a bit more than the others. Well, that became a form and all was well

Christmas Greetings to the people of Guyana especially those in Linden.At this time I miss home very much with the Christmas shopping in Linden at the market and stores. The smell of food cooking, painting the home, weeding the yard,putting up curtains, borrowing your neighbour hammer, asking for li paint to dab on the door,purchasing pepperpot meat,squibs, going to church,purchasing drinks from Banks D.I.H,making mauby and sorrell drink not forgetting the black and sponge cake. With all of that preparation for Christmas, you are tired when the day comes. But it was worth it.

I know that many of you have been following the Tiger woods Saaaaaagaaaaa. But thankfully there are very few golf players in Linden or Guyana as a whole therefore, you have no access to golf clubs. That being so, I want to remind you that if you hit someone with the woods which are readily available in Guyana you can cause severe bodily harm, so I beg of you pleaseeeeee do not use any of the following to attack your man and I am talking about
