PRAY
It is a really or rather one of the greatest accomplishments of all times that anyone can accomplish congratulations to President Elect Barrack Obama , he ran a great race and the best man won, however we all need to keep the same enthusiasm that we had during the campaign and PRAY for this man he is facing the bigger things now he needs direction to take this country in the right direction so lets continue to support him because what he has accomplish is not only for "black americans" but an accomplishment for black people all over the world.NOW LETS KEEP PRAYING FOR HIM EVERY DAY IF WE ALL EVERYDAY ON OUR WAY TO WORK OR WHILE IN THE SHOWER COVER HIM UNDER THE BLOOD HE WILL SUCEED AND GOD WILL GRANT HIM THE STRENGHT AND ABILITY TO END THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY.
IF THERE IS ONE THING IM SURE ABOUT IS THE FACT THAT BLACK PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO PRAY.

Correction to subject of previous post.
Antigua-Barbuda honours US president-elect with 'Mount Obama'
MIAMI, USA (Reuters): The Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda paid lofty tribute to US President-elect Barack Obama by renaming the volcanic mountain known as "Boggy Peak."
Prime Minister of
Antigua and Barbuda,
Baldwin Spencer
"I shall take immediate measures for Antigua and Barbuda's highest mountain peak to be dedicated in your honor and renamed 'Mount Obama,'" Prime Minister W Baldwin Spencer wrote in a congratulatory note to the victorious US presidential candidate on Wednesday.
The 1,327-foot (402-metre) volcanic peak rises over southwestern Antigua in the former British colony whose 85,000 residents are mostly descended from African slaves brought in to harvest the sugar cane fields in the 1700s.
"Your message of change will ignite hope and action in people of many countries who might still be passive in the face of inadequacies and injustice," Spencer wrote to Obama, who will be the first black US president. "Your election will not only transform America, it can transform the world."

Obama Recreational Circle
Fellow Lindener,
Thanks for the support. Actually, I just wanted to throw the idea into the arena for general consideration. Presently, Guyana's politics is so contentious that it may prove very difficult to find a Guyanese individual whose name would generate 'uplifting emotions' in the majority of our people. Obama's achievement, in my opinion, transcends race. Peoples the world over will, for a long time, continue to draw hope and inspiration upon hearing his name mentioned. The last thing I will like to unfold is for a deserving project to be upended into another Afro vs Indo vs other races debate.

HISTORY WAS MADE
Congratulations to the newly elected president of the United States of America BARACK OBAMA!!!! Years from now I will be glad to tell my grandkids about this historic election that I was able to be a part of. Finally the voices of the people have been heard. To all who stood in line for long hours but didn't give up and didn't get discouraged, it was well worth the wait. To those who have been in this country for the required number of years and have yet to file for citizenship, don't let another year go by without getting it done. It will make a world of difference when you do.
We have to remember to always give him our support and backing for the next four years and maybe even eight. He still has a long and difficult journey ahead. The fight is not over yet, we still have alot of work to do to keep the change going.
P.S. SAY A PRAYER FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY THAT THEY REMAIN SAFE AND PROTECTED ALWAYS.

Re: Obama Recreational Circle
Hi Mack, You have a good Idea. But I think we can find someone from Guyana in particular, Linden to name the circle after. Yes, as an African American / Black. I am elated with the accomplishments of "newly elected President Barack Obama" He has fulfilled the dreams of All African Americans world over. Also, we can continue to instill and use President Obama as an example to our youths "Yes you can" accomplish what ever your heart desires. What do you think?

Obama Recrearional Circle
As Linden approaches it's 40th anniversary as a town, the authorities should give serious thought to the creation of a recreational park-like community facility (similar to the National Park) and call same Obama Recreational Circle. Not only does the town needs such a facility but once established, it will provide the ideal environment for reflection on the historic achievement of Barack Obama; one that underlines the belief that in life, the unbelievable is always possible...the community of Linden needs to be constantly reminded of this.

HISTORY
We've been trying so hard to make "HISTORY" since Martin Luther King JR. and maybe before, but last night, November 4th, was one of the most incredible Historic day for ALL BLACK people. We need to continue embracing this change and keep being positive that "WE CAN" do anything. Let's continue to be BLACK and prove ourselves. Congrats to all of you who supported Obama to make this Presidential Election a "HISTORIC SUCCESS."
YES "WE CAN" AND YES "WE DID" WE WON!!!!

Election
People, I wish if you can get the feelings of us here in America. We are out to break history. Do you remember Martin Luther King. History is in the making tonight tonight tonight. People all around. It is party time even if it is a cup of water to celebrate our victory. Celebrate the history making. Celebrate celebrate. IT is celebration time. Guyanese please to celebrate even if it is a piece of bake or roti. Our future generation will always remember this day and time just like how we remember Martin Luther King. History History History is in the making tonight tonight. I do not care what the Republicans are saying Democrat is in the history book tonight. Buy tomorrow newspaper and read. Go to American newspaper and read. IT would be history papers to keep as a souvenir.
